World Refugee Day Cultural Event

Each year on 20 June, the world celebrates ‘World Refugee Day’, the international day to honor people who have been forced to flee. Together, we can champion their right to seek safety, build support for their economic and social inclusion, and advocate for solutions to their plight.

This year WOMEN is joining UNHCR in Trinidad and Tobago and other Civil organizations in celebrating ‘𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐠𝐞𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑’ under the theme: “𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞- 𝐚 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐠𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐝.”

This event will promote fellowship and togetherness and remind us that, regardless of our differences, we all share a common humanity.
